About 1235 SE Salmon St
I specialize in short term stays of one month up to three months. It's my room #2 and it is a furnished room with private bath and it is at a rate that is a fraction of an extended stay hotel or an extended stay apartment. Perfect for interns, traveling nurses and other medical professionals, OHSU rotations, longer term visitors, people moving to town who need an interim place to live, people on short term work assignments or contracts here, people taking a short term class, etc.
Includes all utilities, super-fast fiber Wi-Fi and A/C in the summer.
$1.295 for the first month, $1,195 for the second month and $1,095/month for the third month. And a $300 deposit, $50 of which is a cleaning fee. If you want to stay long term after that and we agree, the rate drops to a long term rate of $925. There are no other charges, and no taxes.
It offers you freedom, flexibility and comfort.
What's available? Individually rented room in a large, hosted, extended stay guesthouse. The room has a private attached bathroom with shower. It has a double(full) bed, linens, blankets, pillows, towels, desk, chair, night stand, lamps, dresser, closet area and locking door. Free use of the washer and dryer, and spaces marked off for you in the fridge and cupboards.
Space in the refrigerators and pantry is marked off just for your use.
Where is the guesthouse? The guesthouse is located in what's called "close-in" southeast Portland. ("Close-in" because it's so very close to downtown...actually just a few blocks) It is called the Hawthorne area, a super hot part of the city.
Who else is in the house? Your host, William, and four other unrelated people -- all with their own separate rooms. I cater mostly to professionals and students, and everyone pretty much sticks to themselves and does their own thing.
Free street parking if you have a car, but a car is not really needed here since this is a very walkable neighborhood and frequent-service buses are everywhere. And there is a big back yard.
What's the neighborhood like? Residential, leafy, pleasant, walkable and VERY conveniently located! A new large grocery store is five blocks away and a large Safeway is less than a mile away. We have two large food cart pods just a few blocks away...and coffee shops and restaurants everywhere around here. You don't really need a car here!
How far is the house from downtown Portland? Exceptionally close! Driving or taking a bus to downtown takes only about 2 to 3 minutes. You will find few other furnished rooms this close in, especially at this low short term rate and that include a private bathroom.
How far is the house from public transportation? Very very close! Bus stops for east/west and north/south bus lines are only three blocks nearby. There is also a stop for the Portland Streetcar just eight blocks away. And you can easily access the Max Train by taking a very short bus ride either up to the Lloyd Center station or to downtown. You can check the Trip Planner on to find how to get to your destinations from here, which is: 1235 SE Salmon St.
How about pets? Sorry, pets are not allowed. And I also have no pets.
How can I get more information? By calling Five zero three 278-7010. (the best time to call is after 10 AM Pacific Time, any day of the week) or by sending an e-mail reply or text.
